Xu Pei Chen's Biography & Awards:

Xu Pei Chen, born in Pei county of Jiangsu province in 1951. Good at major three categories of Chinese painting: landscape, figure, and flower&bird. He's particularly skilled in drawing monkeys, being praised as "the Monkey King of the Orient". Now he is the member of Chinese Artists Association, the vice-chairman of Flower&Bird Painting Society of Jiangsu, and the professor of School of Fine Arts of Nanjing Normal University. His masterpieces were collected by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China, National Art Museum of China, National Museum of China, Hall of Fame, the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, Chairman Mao Zedong Memorial Hall and so on. Published "the Collection of paintings of Xu Pei Chen", "the Collection of Mobkey paintings of Xu Pei Chen", "the Complete Xu Pei Chen's Monkey painting", and "the Collection of Chinese painting of Xu Pei Chen XVIII", he gained the title of "Xu Yuan Hou of Nanjing".


徐培晨，一九五一年生，江苏沛县人。现为中国美术家协会会员，江苏省花鸟画研究会副会长、南京师范大学美术学院教授。擅长中国画，山水、人物、花鸟俱佳，有‘东方猴王’美称。尤精于丹青猿猴。国家文化部、美术馆、博物馆、名人纪念馆及中央办公厅、毛主席纪念堂等收藏其力作。出版有《徐培晨画集》、《徐培晨国画猿猴集》、《徐培晨国画猿猴大观》、《徐培晨国画集》第十八部。有“金陵徐猿猴”之美誉。
