Xu Fei's Biography & Awards:

Xu Fei, born in Liuchuan county of Guilin in 1953, graduated from Guangxi Fine Arts Institute and had a further study on Henan Fine Arts Institute. He majors in painting peony. His artworks were on show and won the prizes for many times on different provincial arts tour exhibitions. He was awarded with one of the most potential painters and calligraphers, as well as a good reputation of "the King of Northern Guangxi".

Now he is a member of Henan Arts Association and Guangxi Arts Association. His artworks seek for the natural, bold and free art style and expressing his feelings fully. Thus, they are popular with compatriots at home and abroad for collecting.

Mr. Xu uses "Xiao Xieyi" technique to depict peony blossoms which are with shape as well as lingering charm, delicate, pretty, and vivid. The stamens are fresh and alive, the branches are vigorous and powerful, the leaves are well-arranged with dark and light color and the roots are strong and old. His peony blossoms paintings, no matter the large scale painting or small, they are protruding “sense of dynamic" so that reach the beautiful art state of reality. His artworks are full with life and typical national style and native Chinese flavor so that meet the public’s taste and are popular among them.

徐飞，男，1953年生于桂林灵川县，毕业于广西省美术学院，进修于河南美术学院，主攻牡丹，作品在各省市美术展巡回展出并多次获奖，被授予为中国最具有潜力的书画家之一；有“桂北花王”美誉，现为河南省美术协会会员，广西省美术协会员，其作品所追求自然，豪放，洒脱的艺术风格，言情抒情，深受海内外同胞的喜爱与收藏！

徐先生对牡丹花其特点是用“小写意”手法，既重形又重神，神形交融，求娇艳而避妖艳，俏而不俗，艳而不媚，花朵浓艳秀丽，层次分明；花蕊生动逼真，鲜活丰满；枝杆挺拔茁壮、曲直遒劲；花叶浓淡相间，疏密有致；花根苍劲厚实，生机盎然。他的牡丹画无论是宏幅巨制，还是盈尺小品，都突出“动感”，达到出神入化，栩栩如生“嗅之以香，触之以动”之美妙艺术境界。由于他的作品具有浓郁的生活气息，典型的民族风格，地道的中国气派，适应群众的欣赏心理，因而备受大众喜爱。
