Lu Yuan's Biography & Awards:

Lu Yuan, born in Changshu, Shuzhou in 1973. The member of Fine Arts Association. The scenery of water village in the south of the Yangtze River is so picturesque that make different dynasties cultures gather here. Yushan painting school and Wumen painting school there are exuding intense cultural scent of China oriental aesthetics. The influence of his elder generation passion towards painting made him love painting as well when he was a teenager. In his youth, he specialized in landscape painting in Suzhou Arts College and was carefully instructed by his teachers.

He not only majors in Chinese painting but also dabbles in western painting's colors. And he widely reads ancient and modern literatures to further his personal education. In his south Yangtze River painting, we can feel his passion to hometown through lush trees, fishermen houses, bamboo fences, sails and etc. His lines are concise and layers are well-arranged.

we can see that he is changing himself from copying the ancients to creating, and now further pursuing this change form his artworks. We can also feel the beautiful scenery of water village where he lives in. He is endeavoring to build a world in which there is full with his own ink color style.

He is a great powerful young artist and his artworks won the prizes in the calligraphy and painting competition for many times.

陆远，1973年出生在苏州常熟。美协会员。江南水乡风物清嘉，历代人文荟萃，虞山画派，吴门画派，散发着中国东方美学的浓郁气息。陆远少年时耳濡目染，受父辈影响亦爱涂写。青年时代在苏州美校学习，专攻山水画，并得到师长们的悉心指教。

攻中国画并涉西画色彩，阅读古今文学著作，以滋学养。所作江南风情画，近处树木浓淡相间。渔家屋舍，竹篱帆影，线条简洁，层次分明，体现了他对家乡的热爱。

陆远的作品，能感受到他正从“师古”走向“创新”并有着更进一步的追求。从中可使人体会到他所生活的水乡风情，作品蕴含感人的魅力，确实他正在构筑着有自己风格的彩墨园地。

其作品屡屡在各类书画比赛中获奖，是极具实力的青年画家。
