Liu Zhong Lei's Biography & Awards:

Liu Zhong Lei, 柳中磊，男，1959年生于江苏无锡，现定居潍坊。自幼秉承家教，聪颖好学，酷爱书法艺术，少时从篆隶入手，主攻大篆，对金文和甲骨文有独到的研究和理解。柳中磊先生认为：“东方艺术的核心是书法，书法的极致是篆籀。人类从结绳记事至甲骨文至大篆至小篆至汉隶然后演变为今日之楷书—纵观文字之演变，篆籀实为汉字之鼻祖也。”因而他对篆书怀有无限崇敬之情，这也是他在篆书领域里取得丰硕成绩的原因。篆书之外，柳先生在真、行、草、隶—尤其是在行书方面用功颇巨，其行书直追二王并深得二王书意，他历经三十余年书法艺术创作之路，其书风重神韵，工章法，点画厚重，行笔恣肆，具有极强的书卷气。柳先生现为中国海韵书画艺术研究院研究员，中华篆书艺术研究会研究员兼客座教授，当代书画艺术院副教授等。其书法作品多次在国际、国家、及省市比赛中获奖。
