Hong Wei's Biography & Awards:

Hong Wei, came from Jiangshu Shuzhou, born in 1962. He invited other painter to be his teacher in the early year, after that he changed he work to be a pattern designer of Suzhou Embroidery. He applied the composition and color of Chinese painting into the embroidery and achieved great success. In the mean time, he also achieved great success on meticulous creation. Moreover, he joined the artists' association and Arts and Crafts Association; he is also a member of Taihu Painter-Calligrapher Association.

His meticulous silk paintings are fresh with unique style. His paintings are more delicate, elegant than others based on the Wu School style, with a strong ethnic and regional characteristic of Suzhou.

洪伟，江苏苏州人，1962年生，早年即拜师学习中国画。后长期从事苏州刺绣的图案设计工作，把中国画的构图色彩运用到苏州刺绣中间取得的很大成功。同时在其自己的工笔画创作中也有的巨大的成绩。并加入了美术家协会，和工艺美术家协会。太湖书画家协会会员。

其绢本工笔画作品，画风清新秀丽，构图新颖，在继承吴门画派风格的基础上，更为精致工整，雅逸，而不落俗套，别具一番风韵。具有强烈的民族风格和苏州地域特色。
