Chou Dan, a professional painter. He’s a low-key and don't like making widely known. Good at figure painting as well as flower&bird painting. He widely absorb the ancient painters strengths and digest them. Gongbi painting and freehand painting are both adept. A major portion of his creations’ theme are classical subject and historical personage. He is original in conception, figures he create are lively and elegant, comely and pretty in shape. His style is unique, ornate and unvarnished elements interpenetrate. Besides, he blend other techniques, such as splash-ink, line drawing, stroke-minus in his Gongbi painting. The whole painting seems especially archaic, plain and unconventional, thought-provoking.
