Zhang Tian Cheng's Biography & Awards:

Zhang Tian Cheng, was born in 1970 and his ancestral home is Shang Dong. Now he is a national officer in Beijing and working in Beijing People Art Theater, engaging in the publicity and the artistic creation. Now he is an academician of Chinese Famous Calligraphers and Painters Research Institute.

He loves calligraphy and painting very much since he was young. He instructed by his parental and has been learning calligraphy for more than ten years. He copied Bei and Tie rubbings, and he is good at both. Now he is still devoting himself to Running Script and Cursive Script. He also had good painting skills and sketching skills, and he majored in landscape, as well as figures, birds & flowers. In his opinion, it is a long long way to getting the essence of calligraphy and painting, and he would keep his learning on it in his rest of life, so he called himself “ Han-Mo-Xing-Zhe”, and named his study “Chao-Tian-Ge” in order to build an artistic realm combined with human being and the nature.

In 2008, he won Gold Award in the 3rd “Huangshan-Cup” National Calligraphy, Painting and Photography Competition, and won Gold Award again in the National Calligraphy and Painting Competition to commemorate Qu Yuan’s 2285th death.
In 2009, he won the Excellent-Prize in thye 1st “Hua Biao-prize” National Calligraphy and Art Works Exhibition in March.
In 2009, he won Gold Award in “He Xie-Praise” Chinese Artists’ Works Tournament in April.

1970年生，籍贯山东，现居北京，系国家工作人员，任职于北京人民艺术剧院，从事宣传及艺术创作，现为中国书画名家研究院院士。

幼嗜书画，秉承家学，临池十余载，碑、帖之间几经辗转，各体皆能，以行、草为归；于画工、写皆通，主攻山水，兼人物、花鸟。因感于书画之道，与生俱老——“路漫漫其修远兮，吾将上下而求索”，而自号翰墨行者；为追求天人合一之艺境，而名其室曰“朝天阁”。

2008年，其书画作品在第三届黄山杯全国书画摄影大赛中荣获金奖；

在纪念屈原逝世2285周年全国书画大赛中获金奖；

2009年3月，在首届华表奖全国书法美术作品大展活动中，荣获优秀奖；

2009年4月，在“和谐颂”中国艺术家诗书画作品邀请赛中荣获金奖。
